Now I have to go to the DMV tomorrow to get my M endorsement added.

Nice. How was the class?

Hey, I'm planning on getting a bike, what state are you in, and how was the class/test?

Congratulations. Welcome to the world of motorcycling. Been doing it since the early '70's. Leave for Bonneville for the land speed records later this week.
Take it easy. Most bad accidents happen in the first 2 years.

Hey! I just got mine last Wednesday! Hopefully we'll all stay safe. I'm so glad I took the MSF class.

I only got 4 demerit points. Three on braking (because one yard beyond where they wanted), and then one demerit on a 135 degree corner, because I was 0.1 seconds off the pace.

I'm in Georgia, so the MSF Basic RiderCourse qualifies as a license waiver.
You do plenty of practice, and it's all on small bikes (<250cc). Much easier to handle than larger bikes.

GA? Did you take the test at the place up 400? That's where I took mine. Great instructors.

Yeah, it's behind the Honda parts warehouse.
What was even more amazing is that of the two instructors (One rode a BMW R1200RT and the other rode a Triumph Bonnie T100) and 10 participants in the class, exactly ZERO wanted a Harley-Davidson.
Since the DDS is crazy being closed on Mondays, now I have to get my license Tuesday, and then go look at a Triumph Sprint ST 955 the same day. Depending on how it goes, I may need a trailer...

We had a Harley couple in our class when I took it many moons ago. They had been riding "forever". The wife failed the class and left in tears.
Good luck with the Triumph. I've got a BMW R1150RT, so your instructor has good taste.

Once I figured out how to do right hand U-Turns In The Box, I was much better off.
